George V. Rogers age 86 of Spring Green passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Greenway Manor Nursing Home. He was born on January 11, 1932 in Wyoming Valley the son of Will and Hattie (Johnston) Rogers. He was married on April 15, 1952 to the former Catherine Carmody. George was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Survivors include, his wife Catherine Rogers of Spring Green, a son, Bill (Ester) Rogers of Tucson, Arizona, 3 granddaughters, Tammy, Irma, Catherine, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a brother, Donald (Sandy) Rogers of Spring Green, a sister, Margie (Gordon) Christian of Arena, a sister-in-law, Marlene Carmody of Spring Green, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Hattie Rogers, a grandson, James Rogers, 4 brothers, Cliff, William, Gerald and Robert Rogers, 2 sisters-in-law, Mae and Doris Rogers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green. Fr. Dave Carrano will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com.
