Obituary for John C. Frank

John C. Frank age 93 of Plain passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Greenway Manor Nursing Home in Spring Green. He was born on May 30, 1924 in Spring Green the son of Otto J. and Anna (Guttmann) Frank. John was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Plain American Legion Post #398, 40 ET 8, Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Order of Foresters. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. John worked at Oscar Mayer for 30 years and loved to squirrel and deer hunt. He was married on July 17, 1987 to the former Carolyn Rieder Hausladen. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Frank of Plain, a brother, Ralph (Irene) Frank of Plain, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Anna Frank, 5 sisters, Agatha Gevelinger, Ruth Pulvermacher, Mary Alt, Gertrude Miller, Mildred Miller, 2 brothers, Edward and Francis Frank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain. Fr. John Silva will officiate with burial in the church cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Plain American Legion Post #398. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Greenway Manor Nursing Home, Dr. Jeffrey Collins and the Plain Clinic staff for their wonderful care and compassion.
