Obituary for Floyd J. "Farmer" Bartow Sr.

Floyd J. “Farmer” Bartow Sr. age 53 of Hanover, IL died on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at OSF Saint Anthony’s Medical Center in Rockford, IL from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Farmer was born on June 21, 1964 in Lancaster, WI to Gerald “Jerry” and Jane (Davies) Bartow. He was raised in Fennimore, WI and graduated from Fennimore High School in 1982. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan that loved farming and the outdoors. He made friends wherever he went, and his extended family of friends were very important to him. He was a hard worker who was always there to help others and played harder, always living life to the fullest. Farmer will continue to touch the lives of many through his donation of organs through the Gift of Hope. He is survived by his sons, Floyd (Lee Andra) Bartow Jr., Nicholas (Brittany) Ramsden, Carter Hocking, three grandchildren, Mother, Jane Bartow of Lancaster, WI, siblings, Dennis (Connie) Bartow, of Monroe, WI, Douglas (Christine) Bartow of Montfort, WI, Debra (David) Fisher of Prairie du Chein, WI, Marcia (Rick) Dailey of Lancaster, WI, Kristine (Andy) Cerny of Spokane Valley, WA, Mark (Ellen) Bartow of Whitehall, WI, Gary (Karen) Bartow of Omaha, NE, Jennifer (James) Joyce of Denmark, WI, many nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins and many friends who were family to him. He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Bartow, siblings, Rebecca Bartow and Shawn Bartow, paternal grandparents Floyd and Caroline Bartow and maternal grandparents Ray and Dorothy Davies. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. the Lancaster United Methodist Church, 216 S. Monroe Street, Lancaster, WI. Rev. Mark Weaver will officiate with burial in the Hillside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Online condolences available at www.staffordfuneralhomes.com. The Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the emergency staff that assisted Farmer at the scene of the accident and to the trauma staff at OSF Saint Anthony’s Medical Center for the exceptional care and comfort they provided Farmer in his last days. In honor of Farmer and his love for the Green Bay Packers, the family request all in attendance dress in Green Bay packer attire.
