Irma Lois Vorndran went home to be with her Lord after a short illness on Tuesday, July 3 at the Meadows in Spring Green, WI. She was born on November 17, 1912 at Lone Rock, WI to William B. and Hazel Brown Jordan. She grew up on the family farm in Hillside Valley known as “Hilltop” which was later owned by Herb Fritz. She graduated from Spring Green High School and got her college education at Platteville Teacher’s College and became an elementary school teacher at the age of 18. She was united in marriage to Ralph J. Vorndran in 1935. She taught school for 38 ½ years, the last 22 years at Dixon School, a part of River Valley Schools. She was a member of the Lone Rock Congregational Church.

Irma is survived her son, William (Diane Adamson) Vorndran of Belvidere, IL and daughters Betty (William) Crook of Spring Green, Barbara (Clifford) Boughton of Gilbertsville, KY and Bonnie (Mark) Williams of Rockford, IL; her grandchildren Greg (Tricia) Crook, Tammy Manning, Janet (Greg) Kraemer, Jay (Janice) Crook, Diane (Steve) Kraemer, Clint (Debbie) Boughton, Monique (Jimmie) Moore, Angel (David) Hagerman, Jill Vorndran, Dale Vorndran, Michael (Kristi) Williams and Christopher (Jessica) Williams; 28 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Virginia) Jordan of Spring Green, her brother-in-law Joseph Vorndran of Orange, FL and sister-in-law, Irene Vorndran of Spring Green and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Ralph December 16 1996, her sister Zella Sailing, her brother-in-law, Laverne Sailing, a granddaughter, Cindy Crook, a great granddaughter Jodi Crook and nephew William “Bart” Jordan.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at the Meadows, Spring Green, Home Health United Hospice, Sauk City and all the wonderful staff from Greenway Manor, Spring Green for her care during the past nine years.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lone Rock Community Congregational Church, 202 S. Chestnut Street. Pastor Craig Peach will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lone Rock Community Congregational Church.
