Rachel M. Funk age 73 of Lone Rock passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Richland Hospital. She was born on June 17, 1938 the daughter of Willard and Eva (King) Preston. Rachel was married on August 4, 1967 to Charles D. Funk Jr. She was a member of the Lone Rock American Legion Auxiliary, the Lone Rock Community Congregational Church and was a volunteer at the Richland Hospital. Survivors include, her husband, Charles D. Funk Jr. of Lone Rock, 4 children, Joan Marie (Dan) Dorin of Appleton, Tim (Mary) Funk of McFarland, Tammi (Rob) Davidson of Cedar Grove, Kristi (Shayne) Custer of Lone Rock, 7 grandchildren, an uncle, Oscar Keller of Madison, a cousin, Lois Wieland of Dodgeville, 6 sisters-in-law, Marilyn Preston of Hartford, Marion (Kenny) Meier of Dane, Pat (Ronnie) Alt of Lone Rock, Kathy Lins of Plain, Cheryl (Ronnie) Statz of Dane, Doris Mernack of Rockford, IL, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Eva Preston, her father and mother-in-law, Charles Sr. and Lena Funk, 2 brothers, Ralph and LeRoy Preston, her 1st husband, Dale Funk, 2 brothers-in-law, Pete Lins and Gary Mernack and a cousin, Carl Wieland. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lone Rock Community Congregational Church. Rev. Craig Peach will officiate with burial in the Spring Green Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
