John E. “Jack” Sutton age 90 of Marshfield and formerly of Richland Center passed away on Saturday, May 12,
2012 at the Marshfield Care Center. He was born on April 27, 1922 the son of Charles and Florence (Pember)
Sutton. Lt. John E. Sutton served in the United States Army Air Corps during WWII as a B17 pilot. He was known to his crew, “Suttons Crew” as Johnny. John was married to the former Marian Davis. He was a past member of V.F.W. and American Legion in Marshfield, WI. John spent his entire civilian life in the state of Wisconsin where he loved gardening, flowers, watching mother natures critters, deer hunting and fishing with his family. John resided in LaCrosse for 45 years before moving to Marshfield. Survivors include his daughter, Carolyn D. Sutton of Marshfield, 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren 6 great great grandchildren, a brother, Warren Sutton of Marshfield, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marian Sutton. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Richland Center where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Local Veterans Military Memorial Honors Unit. John was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by all. Fly home Johnny, fly home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to P.O. Box 263, Marshfield, WI 54449 for his favorite cancer charities. The Stafford Funeral Home of Richland Centeris assisting the family with the arrangements.
