Harold C. “Harry” Frank age 91 of Plain passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital.  He was born on September 30, 1920 in Plain the son of Clem and Ann (Kraemer) Frank. 
Harry served in the U.S. Army during WWII, was a P.O.W. and earned the Purple Heart.  He was married on May 11, 1946 to the former Anita Maus.  He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, the Plain American Legion Post #398, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Knights of Columbus and was a past member of the Plain Volunteer Fire Department.  Harry worked for Edward Kraemer & Sons as a crane operator for 53 years.  Survivors include, his wife Anita Frank of Plain, 9 children, Connie (Bob) Schweiss of Plain, Bill (Norma) Frank of Spring Green, Steve Frank of Plain, Larry Frank of Plain, Lanny Frank (friend Cheryl) of Plain, Sally (Ken) Schweiger of Boscobel, Matt Frank of Verona, Ken (Sheryl) Frank of Plain, Dan Frank of Plain, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, a brother, Vic (Rosemary) Frank of Milwaukee, a sister-in-law, Rita Frank of Waunakee, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Ann Frank and a brother, Gordon Frank. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Plain at 11:30 A.M. Fr. Mike Resop will officiate with burial in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held on  Saturday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.
