Velma Iola Banker age 93 of Spring Green passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital.  She was born on August 31, 1918 in Richland Center the daughter of H.C. Lewis and Beulah (Long) McCauley.  Velma was married to Corliss S. Banker.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Eastern Starr and a past member of the Spring Green Congregational Church.  Survivors include a son, Gary (Marcie) Banker of Fennimore, 5 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Corliss in 1983 a son, Davy in 1979, Davy’s wife, Barbara in 1997, 3 brothers, Arlis, Lewis, Roland, 3 sisters, Gwendolyn “Dolly” Kartman, Norma Gastrow and Allene Rohan.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home in Spring Green is assisting the family with the arrangements.
