Matthew S. Marit age 49 of Lone Rock passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at the UW Hospital in Madison. He was born on December 09, 1961 in Spring Green, the son of Paul and Rita (Snyder) Marit.
Survivors include his parents Paul and Rita Marit or Spring Green, 3 sisters Diane (LeRoy) Gruber of Plain, Lisa (Dennis) Hackl of Spring Green, Lynette (Pete) Lathrop of Mazomanie. Maternal Grandmother Laura Snyder of Spring Green. Nieces and Nephews, Nathan, Dan, Michael, Hailey, Hannah, Nick, Ashley, Olivia and Sean, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Harvey Snyder, paternal grandparents Dwight and Wilma Marit, a brother Timothy Marit, and a niece Alexis Hackl.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 2, 2011 at 4:30 P.M. at the Spring Green Community Church. Reverend Kendall Harger will officiate with burial in the Spring Green Cemetery on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2011 from 2:30 P.M. until time of service at the Spring Green Community Church. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to an HIV support group that will be decided at a later date.
