Francis B. Burke age 84 of Richland Center passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Pine Valley Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. He was born on March 2, 1928 the son of Harold and Anastacia (Moore) Burke in Richland County. Francis was married on August 26, 1950 to the former Beverly Stout. He was a member of St. Mary’s the Assumption Catholic Church, past Richland Center Volunteer Fire Chief and Fire Fighter for 32 years, a long time local businessman and taught Auto Mechanics at Southwest Tech. Survivors include his 3 children, Bernard “Bun” Burke and Teresa Scribbins, Deborah Burke and Michael (Kimberly) Burke all of Richland Center, 3 grandchildren, Sean Burke, Tiffany Burke, Dustin Crook, a brother, Mike (Velma) Burke of Janesville, 2 sisters, Loraine Harlan of Madison, Betty (Gary) Kaziukewicz of Shore View, MN, a special lifelong friend, Gordon (Mary Ann) Moore of Richland Center, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Anastacia Burke, his wife, Beverly Burke and a brother-in-law, Robert Harlan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 18, 2012 at St. Mary’s the Assumption Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M. Fr. Roger Scheckel will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Stafford Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. -7:00 P.M. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass.
