Norbert J. Frawley age 79 of Soldiers Grove passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at his residence following a long illness. He was born on November 23, 1932 in Akan Township the son of William and Mary (Kelly) Frawley. Norbert served in the U.S. Army and was married on December 29, 1958 to the former Lucille Studnicka. He was a member of St. Philip’s Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife Lucy Frawley of Soldiers Grove, 4 children, John (Laurie) Frawley of Soldiers Grove, James (Tammie) Frawley of DeSoto, Janet (Bradley) Richardson of Soldiers Grove, Joan (Steven) Welscher of Goodhue, MN, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 2 siblings, Helen Schicht of LaCrosse, Jerome Frawley of Soldiers Grove, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Frawley, 2 brothers, Paul and Bernard Frawley and a sister, Margaret Slaney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Phillip’s Catholic Church in Rolling Ground. Fr. Zacharie Beya will officiate with burial in the church cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Local Veterans Military Memorial Honors Unit. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 from 4:30 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the Stafford Funeral Home in Richland Center. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made.
