Lester P. Baker died at age 86, on October 24, 2011, in Leesburg, Fl.   He was born in Troy Twp. Sauk Co., WI on June 14, 1925 to Albertus and Hildegarde(Needham) Baker of Spring Green, WI.  He served 3 years in the Navy duringWWII and on the Wisconsin Dells Police force for 5 years.  Lester was theVFW President in Baraboo, WI for 2 years and had been a member of the CatholicOrder of Foresters since the age of 15.  He was also a member of theAmerican Legion.    He married Carolyn Huemmer on August 20, 1946, in Skokie, IL.  They lived in Wisconsin Dells, WI for 20 years and had 5 children. They moved toMassachusetts in 1968 and lived in Northampton and Westfield before moving toLeesburg, FL in 2006. His brothers Charles, Lorenzo and Franklin Baker precededhim in death.  Besides his wife, he leaves a son Robert (Jan) Baker of SanAntonio, TX and their children Kristen (Jason) Wightman of Helotes, TX, andBrandon (Erica) Baker, of Helotes, TX; a son Charles Baker of LeGrande, OR; ason James (Judy) Baker of E. Granby, CT; a daughter Elizabeth (Stephen) Shepardof Broken Arrow, OK and their children Lauren (Mike) O’Neil of Champlin, MN,and Angela (Evan) Martin of Bloomington, IN; a daughter Bonnie (Timothy)Paddock of Dade City, FL and their children Matthew Paddock of Washington, DC,and Stacey Paddock of Pittsburgh, PA;  5 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Spring Green at 11:00 A.M..  Fr. Mike Resop will officiate with burial in the church cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Spring Green American Legion Post #253.  Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of Mass.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to acharity of your choice. The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home of Spring Green is assisting the familywith the arrangements
