Barbara G Morton, mother, pianist, industrial librarian, with interests in the arts, gardening, cooking, and birding, died June 27th  2011 in Spring Green, Wisconsin.  Barbara was born in Brownsville, PA and as a young person, was always involved in music, played in the band and played the organ at her church. She continued her piano skills accompanying vocalists, playing with community theater, and church organist bringing Bach and Mozart to high mass. Barbara spent her professional life in Chicago, Illinois at the Inland Steel Company, and developed their research library which became an important resource at the time. She also loved every aspect of her city. She took advantage of the many things Chicago had to offer from the museums, opera, theater, the lake shore, restaurants, universities and her neighborhood.  So when we asked her to come to Spring Green she of course declined. Somehow we convinced her, and she immediately fell in love with the rolling hills of the driftless area, and wonderful people who helped her through her illness. She loved her place at Greenway Manor and developed many friendships. As a mom, she encouraged responsibility, independence and creativity. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Debi Morton (Michael Dearing); Susi Lynch McCabe (Bob McCabe); grandchildren Christa Lynch and her two sons, Keaton and Carson; Kasey Lynch Nicholas (Tom Nicholas) and children Connor and Kaelyn; Kami Lynch; Katie McCabe; John Lynch and children Avery and Austin. She will be missed.  A prayer service will be  held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2011  at Greenway Manor with  Fr.
